Based Alice.
Itâs wild how large our portion sizes have gotten.
Most people back then were just more active in our daily lives as well. I started lifting weights just after high school in the late 1970s, and outside of some school gyms, there were very few commercial gyms here in Phoenix- some YMCAs, a couple of âGym and Swimâ health clubs, and some boxing gyms in south Phoenix. I found an actual gym where the bodybuilders went. It was still considered kind of weird for an adult to go to a gym to lift weights, although âaerobicsâ and running were becoming a big thing by then. Nautilus started its franchises and that blew things up.
I walked everywhere as a young adult. I lived in the dorm on base until I was 22. It was faster to walk to work than to drive due to 15 mph speed limit and having to drive around when there were sidewalks directly to work. And the benefit was the sidewalks had the steam pipes that heated the buildings running under them so they stayed ice free. I had a car that I only used to drive to town on weekends to get off base.
Iâm Batting 1000.
Part of the thing lost in this video is women stayed home and spent the day working in the house. The feminist movement driving women into the workplace means way less women are home making healthy meals at home. Instead, we eat out.
âProphetââŚ.
When schools teach about Islam now, they aways refer to the guy who created it as âThe Prophetâ Mohammad. Fuck that shit, Iâm not calling that shyster a âprophetâ as a title.
Imagine if they referred to Jesus as âour Lord and Savior, the Son of God?â
WHICH THEY SHOULD.
I think that was the premise for a couple of comic series, what if baby superman had landed in the USSR or Nazi GermanyâŚ
