Not my music, but my son’s. We are trying to figure out if we should send him to school for music or not. He loves producing music but is not sure if it is a good choice for a career.
I won’t lie, the money in music is not anywhere near what it used to be. But it’s also a very rewarding endeavour. If he knows what he’s doing he can be successful, but I would advise using it as a backup plan.
if i had regrets it is not throwing it all into my early DJ contacts. Instead of choosing office and money over women parties and drugs. (still had women parteis and drugs anyway but with added stress) I could be successful AND legendary AND washed up by now if i had gone to Ibiza in 2002…
start with that, and upload yoru audio to Udio and then see what it does. you need to iterate until you get what youw ant, then you can tune it with inpaint etc. later export to DAW and change it up with Wav to Midi…
its good he should defintiely play with it a at least a side thing whilst still getting some sort of qualification… although since AI will replace most jobs, maybe learning prompt engineering will be good for him
