Jan wrestle fucked him at times, a 40 year old Jan at that.
There just aren’t many good grappling based guys around at 185-265 these days.

He does deserve credit for being a very active and entertaining fighter. For the last few years he has been one of the few worthwhile things in an otherwise pretty weak era.
His bitching about the loss is getting embarrassing though. Its hurting his aura as much as the loss itself did.
cant take heavyweight punch
Gable incoming
The worst part about his whining was when he said jab that dropped him was a “lucky punch”
bitch, please
No different to a cop being scared to go to work if he has a partner that’s so incompetent he might get killed.
Fighters can be killed by incompetent refs and corner men.
Anyone here saying that he has ruined his career over this apparently because he is “whining“ is pretty dense. Outside of this place and two other MMA sites, No one knows what the fuck you guys are even talking about so enough with this dribble ,his career is just fine. The eight of you think too much of your opinions.
AP has been rumored to have serious issues with alcohol when not in training camp
based on his speed and size,; I wonder if not having to cut weight affected his disciple
If AP came in at 220-230 I think he would have looked/moved better
No weight class discipline required means beer with chicken wings all night every day
Indeed, it’ll be interesting to see how he pans out. On paper its very promising.
If only 8 people know who Alex P is his career is far from fine. You’re being disingenuous and “dense” as you put it.
It’s all over social media. What the fuck are you even talking about? lol
Do you really think MMA discussions only happen on 2-3 forums? It’s not 1998 anymore…
Alex has 8.3 million IG followers. Most of them probably saw his post.
There are the same 5 guys complaining about him that also called Topuria a “quiter”. And Big Mike super classy. We don’t care
Kinda sounds like you do care.
I don’t. I disagree not the same as caring
She is fine AF so I don’t fault him for being up on that!
Pereira is a legend already in two sports. One of the true all time greats. He just suffered a bad concussion. He should take some time off before he fights again. If he wants to walk away, I’m fully behind him. Modern MMA fans are the worst in sports and they used to be the best by a long shot. Every fighter in the modern era should make as much as they can for as little risk possible and retire. Fuck the fans, they will turn on you immediately for going out on your shield. They used to care about bravery and risk taking over winning. Not anymore.
How many times did we see Alex go back in a straight line in that video?!
I think this should be a lesson for the UFC.
There has been a lot of cheating over the last few years that has been overlooked and it seems the fighters are tired of it.
With the Gane/Pereira fight, there were a few illegal shots that should have been addressed. I also think the fact that Gane cheats regularly is playing a factor.
And this is now two championship fights with Gane where the opponent was fouled and it has affected the match in some way. I think its time he faces some form of scrutiny for it, finally.
And some fouls i can see letting them slide, but IMHO any for eye poking, raking, etc as well as any shots to the back of the head should be zero tolerance; immediate foul and maybe some form of punishment.
I dont think what happened in the fight changed the outcome, but maybe Poatan would’ve pulled off a one punch KO had some of those shots not landed where they did; we’ll never know unfortunately.
But its time for the UFC to crack down on certain fouls i feel and it needs to be acknowledged the amount of times Gane has fouled in many of his fights.
Finally, i dont think Poatan means what he said here, i have a feeling hes throwing it out there as some form of bargaining chip.
Also important for the ppl like OP to acknowledge that Poatan never complains about a loss like this, hes usually the opposite hes very respectful. And hard to blame someone that was elbowed in the back of the head.
