Agree. It has a weird mixture of elite wrestlers, mma fighters and lower level grapplers or social media influencers - it both makes for interesting matchups at times but also creates blowouts too which I think they will need to dial in in the future

One good thing about using the influencers and MMA fighters to draw eyeballs to RAF is that they do seem to have a solid, marketable group of core talent to build the promotion around, with guys like Wyatt, Bo, Snyder, Dake, and Steveson however long he’s available.
If someone watched last night because of the MMA guys or Georgio and had no reference to the other wrestlers on the card, wrestlers like Bassett or Hendrickson came across looking like stars.

Related to the influencers it is “sad” to say these guys bring more eyeballs to the legit world champions and Olympic champion wrestlers. More eyeballs on these champions other than the usual friends and family cheering groups.
As much as we or I may want to laugh at these guys and how silly it is they have carved their own path and have achieved a higher level of business success and “fame” than the Wold and Olympic Champion wrestlers.

i really do not mind them bringing in MMA guys or the influencers like Cayden and Mugzzy as long as they are match appropriate…
RAF has struggled a bit with that, but, it is all pretty new and they have chosen to do some things that to an actual wrestling fan makes them roll their eyes… with that being said, they are far and away the most successful professional league of real wrestling we have ever seen… that includes PWL overseas…
the wrestling nerds who only follow college and really only care about what color a singlet someone is wearing have little to no interest in any of it… of course they typically only pay attention to international wrestling is someone who used to wear the right color singlet happens to make an appearance, so, whatever…
as far as stars…
Bassett is by far the “biggest star” in american wrestling even though his actual results do not really back that up… but that family has had a media plan since day one and that kid has been coached on what to say and how to act since he was 14 and younger…
Hendrickson made his name by beating gable… his results since then have not been super inspiring…
again, results do not really matter in this game… only what you can sell to the marks…
“fans” are the absolute worst…
The guy is yellow for dropping out of a match the organization and fans invested time and money into. Guy is a red haired ginger bozo. If he was that good he’d have taken the match
I think RAF is doing great with its mix of pure wrestlers, MMA wrestlers, and influencers.
Their job is to grow the organization and promote the sport and on that point they are doing a fantastic job.
It’s not like they’re handing a belt to an influencer and calling them the champion or the best in the world.
