Real American Freestyle (RAF) is back in action on May 30 at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson will make his RAF debut against PFL fighter and accomplished freestyle wrestler Alexandr “King Kong” Romanov. In the RAF09 co-main event, UFC welterweight veteran Colby Covington collides with former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman in the “All American’s” RAF debut.
“We’re excited to bring RAF to Texas for the first time and to a market that lives and breathes big-time sports,” said Chad Bronstein, CEO and Co-Founder of Real American Freestyle. “The momentum behind this league continues to build, and we’re delivering matchups you simply can’t get anywhere else. Dallas is going to feel that on May 30.”
Colby seems to have no interest in wrestling anyone that can give him problems. First Rockhold and now a 67 year old Weidman? Meh

weidman is only 3 years older than colby and was a legitimate wrestler… this will be by far his toughest match to date at RAF…

Yeah I have seen recent training footage of Weidman - it’s rough and he need not compete anymore .. he was a true beast on mma a few years back though
weidman is considerable bigger He can still probly wrestle ( not mma ) that said i think Coivington the favorite.Wiedman came in 3rd in ncaas but a long time ago and lot of injurys..Weidman lives about 10 minutes from me
Weidman is an exponentially tougher challenge than either of the bums Colby has wrestled in RAF previously…
anyone complaining about this match up after his previous 2 is just a silly person…
Yes, a prime Weidman gives Colby fits but Weidman is pretty broken at this point .. too many injuries .
I hope it is a better match than I think it will be .. again though, Arman is right there but Colby is looking everywhere else .. it’s interesting that when Arman went to his mma gym/camp, Colby never wrestled him - I guess no one wanted to . CC fears the Arman hammer

for sure, but, so?
it is just a gimmick match and has no bearing on any future matches…
it will not matter what happens… i have seen so many reactions/opinions in regards to the Danis performance as if it was anything but scripted…
the unwashed masses will buy whatever they are told and this match up is only for them… not anyone who actually follows wrestling…
