I think Schultz said he did coke with DuPont once. I might be wrong, but I thought he said that and he didn’t like hanging around DuPont, who was coked out of his head a lot. If he had actually put his hands on Mark, he would have been badly hurt.
Slightly unrelated, and I saw somebody else mention it, but there was a real possibility that DuPont might have gotten out of prison. He was found guilty of like 3rd degree murder, and was eligible for parole a few times. He had good lawyers so every time it came up, Mark said he got a notification about it. They never granted him parole and he died in prison. There’s also a rumor that I see pop up occasionally that if DuPont had ever gotten parole, there was some vague Russian gangster or Mafia person who had been a big fan of Dave who would have killed DuPont out of revenge. I forgot where I saw it, but I don’t know if any Russians would have been invested enough to do that.
I hate hearing about the illicit activity going on at this elite wrestler training facility.
Foxcatcher? It was a huge property, hundreds of acres. The wrestling room was not a big thing. I don’t think DuPont ever did anything illegal there, except maybe point a gun at Danny Chaid, but he would get himself all coked up or whatever in his office at the main house, which was like a mile away.
