Raja probably deserves to be in jail for a long time, but Stu seems like a good guy, and I hope Raja realizes he’s kind of being granted a second lease on life himself at this point. Him getting a minimum sentence doesn’t have to be a bad thing if he makes something positive out of it.
I really don’t understand what made him do what he did. To be honest, many American pro-wrestlers especially do come off like very slimy, lying, backstabbing and opportunistic individuals to me, especially within the indie circuit. Apparently, many of them can’t even stand each other in real life. I remember Gannon saying when he was still alive that he didn’t think most of them were very good people. Maybe that kind of douche behavior was in the back of Raja’s mind. Not that that would justify the extreme of his actions, but Stu seemed like the least deserving of what happened to him.

Given the amount of violent felons we see re-offending and hurting more people I won’t hold my breath. Especially when studies show that little to no punishment for crimes tends to encourage the person to commit more extreme crimes.

It’s a system that says “hey you shouldn’t do that” instead of REALLY making them regret what they did
