Barely anyone throws Superman punches - GSP was super accurate with them.
But SO many fighters throw spinning back fists. And almost nobody lands them. How many of them have landed in a fight, ever? Probably 10 out of like 1,000. 1 percent accuracy. Terrible strike that nobody throws right and nobody sets up. Everyone just telegraphs the shit out of it and misses by like 9 inches.
Superman punch requires more skill so not many would ever try it. Spinning back fist is a low hanging fruit. Somebody throws it just to be like “look, I’m athletic! I threw spinning shit! Lol. It’s like the striking equivalent of jumping guillotine.
Edited to add even when somebody gets a spinning back fist KO I don’t care for it. It just doesn’t look good to me, it looks like somebody was doing windmill at a hardcore show and clocked somebody by accident. I much prefer to see a clean 1-2 or check hook than that dumb low IQ punch.

Lots of haters on here. I’m all about legends getting paid. I don’t like to see fighters who can’t let go and I hate seeing fighters who can’t retire because they are broke and have no other options, but I don’t mind fighters trying to cash in for a special attraction and compete in a fun, age and current skill level match up. I’ll be watching. Neither of these ladies need this.
