Those solid body shots loosened the bowls
Nevermind…
I don’t know if Netflix will sign another deal with them so just depends on if their first deal included more than 1.
Some mofo that just took home the largest check he will ever get fighting mma.
Why they posting that for a guy 99% of the world has never heard of.
Edit - just some rando 35 yo Jamaican fighter with 20-6 record and 2-2 over last 4. Lmao these payouts are so out of whack.
Good for the fighters on the card though. Make that money when you can.
Francis finally stopped smashing guys after they’re already KO’d. Guess karma gave him the call
I didn’t watch this shit show. Idk how any real MMA fan could
Looks like it went exactly as I said it would
Francis knocked out another nobody
Nate lost via scar tissue. And he may or may not have shit himself during the fight? I saw that trending on Twitter it may have just been a a joke idk
And Gina got armbar’d in 2 seconds. She didn’t train for the fight. She just used it as motivation to lose weight
Cool
She probably trained but Ronda did that to everyone in her career except last 2 people.
She hasn’t fought in 17 years. No amount of training would have amounted to anything anyway
But I highly doubt she did any serious training. Ronda is a 1 trick pony, although she was very good at that 1 trick
This ronda fighting prime gina.. fight goes exactly the same.. maybe takes 2-3 more seconds.
Highlights are up!
Well comparing our threads. Seems like we’re all not real fans on here then heheheh
Gina vs Ronda was a work. Like Ronda said post-fight they both just wanted out unscathed. Gina coming in straight ahead. As Ronda shoots throws a very weak low kick making TD easier. I predicted Ronda would win by armbar but I think they just wanted a quick, safe ending and a trip home with million dollar checks.
Lol that’s fine. This card had big names on it. But the fights meant nothing
Ufc = best fighters in the world fighting. That’s where I will always be
The UFC is trash and are desperate for stars. That’s why they need Coke head Conor back
You could see the immediate relief in both of them. For Ronda, it completed a redemption arc that she wasn’t a fraud because when you’re a fighter, you’re only as good as your last fight. The end of Ronda’s career probably really rocked her mentally.
As for Carano - already mentioned and obvious, but she laughed because of how swiftly she got beat. It’s no different when someone is so many levels better than you at something - like a video game for example, or you roll with someone and they just smoke you so bad you don’t know what happened. All you can do is laugh. She got a sh*tload of money, got in great shape, didn’t get banged up, name back in the spotlight - she’ll prolly get a sweet acting role outta all this.
lol at that being a fake fight
looked just like most of rondas wins
she must have the record for most money made with shortest cage time
ass-raped her haters again
I actually think you’re right about Gina, I think she went into practice and hit mitts. Did some road work, maybe got a few rounds of sparring. But I don’t think she had some sort of “camp” for this. She used it as motivation to lose weight and get the feeling of walking out and being in a cage again. That’s why she wasn’t set on fighting again. Getting there was a victory in itself. Ronda is hardly the person you wanna do that against lol.
This sums it all up
As a martial artist and fight fan for 20+ years, I don’t blame them at all for this approach and in fact I respect them for being able to do what they did last night.
Fighters sacrifice so much and get so little out of it that it’s nice to see two of “our own” get what they want in the end (even if we hate one and the other is “rich” from acting).
They both went into this fight for closure but wanted different things out of it. Gina wanted to prove to herself she could be committed again and get the feeling of the walk, Ronda wanted to have one more win on her terms where she only focused on herself.
Doesn’t make for the best or most exciting fight but it’s sort of beautiful in a way, because almost zero fighters are able to write their own endings the way they did.
It’s a shame basically no fighters have the power/leverage/name to end their careers this way.
