UFC fans have voiced their concern about Tai Tuivasa’s fighting future after a recent image of him circulated.

Tai Tuivasa, UFC, MMA

As we know, Tai Tuivasa has been a big fan favorite within the Ultimate Fighting Championship for quite some time now. He’s known for his fun personality, his knockout power, and his unpredictability inside the cage. At one point, it seemed like he could be on track for a world title opportunity – but it’s been a long time since he was at his very best.

As of this writing, Tuivasa is currently riding a five-fight losing streak. Four of those came via finish, with the most recent being a split decision defeat against Jairzinho Rozenstruik in August 2024. He hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since then, and even hit back at fans who were trying to tell him how he should fight when he eventually returns.

While the 32-year-old seems to be getting ready for a return, a recent screenshot of Tuivasa was posted to social media, causing concern from some fans and critics.

UFC fans react to Tuivasa’s appearance

“Meh.. Paddy can teach him how to be a middleweight”

“Holy s***, we’re gonna need a super heavyweight division or something”

“The alcohol destroyed that man”

“Yeah its not lookin good”

“If this is real, I sadz”

“How does he keep getting bigger”

While many of the remarks are quite harsh, we certainly hope to see Tai get back to where he belongs sooner rather than later.

He can ease up on the rice and lose a few lbs. That hair looks gay though if we are being honest.

Tai Tuivasa hates losing, but his son watching him suffer a sixth consecutive defeat in the UFC definitely stung more than Tallison Teixeira’s punches.

The popular slugger from Australia returned from a lengthy layoff to compete at UFC 325, but despite a near comeback in the final round, Tuivasa ultimately suffered a unanimous decision loss. While the 32-year-old heavyweight had previously contemplated retirement, he sounds determined to fight again after this latest setback; still, the loss was definitely a tough pill to swallow.

“That hurts the soul more than any punches,” Tuivasa wrote on Instagram. “I tried I had a great camp looking forward to getting back in camp with the boys at Tripl3 MMA so much to work on. Always big love to my supporters especially the Aussie fans/crowd always cheering me on. I’m sorry for falling short again. F*cking shit feeling.

“My poor boy has watched me get a hiding a few too many times now but just like I always tell him as long as you give it all you have and keep trying that’s all that matters. As long as I’m doing this I will always keep trying had a great week together taking him and showing da fings. Didn’t get the result son but that is how life goes sometimes. I hope I take all the loses for mine.”

It’s been a rough run for Tuivasa, who was potentially nearing title contention as recently as 2022 when he scored a fifth straight win after knocking out Derrick Lewis. But Tuivasa fell to former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane in a Fight of the Night effort and that started his long losing streak in the UFC.

With six straight losses, there’s no word yet if the UFC plans to retain Tuivasa on the roster. He sounds ready to get back to work to fix the problems that plagued him in this latest fight and he might be calling on a current champion to help him get there.

“Khamzat Chimaev, I’m coming to wrestle brother teach me,” Tuivasa wrote. “I am sick of this cuddle shit.”

They should get Stingray from Cobra Kai to do his biopic.

As David Tua said once, “I no lightweight bruv”.
