UFC fans have voiced their concern about Tai Tuivasaâs fighting future after a recent image of him circulated.

As we know, Tai Tuivasa has been a big fan favorite within the Ultimate Fighting Championship for quite some time now. Heâs known for his fun personality, his knockout power, and his unpredictability inside the cage. At one point, it seemed like he could be on track for a world title opportunity â but itâs been a long time since he was at his very best.
As of this writing, Tuivasa is currently riding a five-fight losing streak. Four of those came via finish, with the most recent being a split decision defeat against Jairzinho Rozenstruik in August 2024. He hasnât been seen in the Octagon since then, and even hit back at fans who were trying to tell him how he should fight when he eventually returns.
While the 32-year-old seems to be getting ready for a return, a recent screenshot of Tuivasa was posted to social media, causing concern from some fans and critics.
UFC fans react to Tuivasaâs appearance
âMeh.. Paddy can teach him how to be a middleweightâ
âHoly s***, weâre gonna need a super heavyweight division or somethingâ
âThe alcohol destroyed that manâ
âYeah its not lookin goodâ
âIf this is real, I sadzâ
âHow does he keep getting biggerâ
While many of the remarks are quite harsh, we certainly hope to see Tai get back to where he belongs sooner rather than later.
He can ease up on the rice and lose a few lbs. That hair looks gay though if we are being honest.
Tai Tuivasa hates losing, but his son watching him suffer a sixth consecutive defeat in the UFC definitely stung more than Tallison Teixeiraâs punches.
The popular slugger from Australia returned from a lengthy layoff to compete at UFC 325, but despite a near comeback in the final round, Tuivasa ultimately suffered a unanimous decision loss. While the 32-year-old heavyweight had previously contemplated retirement, he sounds determined to fight again after this latest setback; still, the loss was definitely a tough pill to swallow.
âThat hurts the soul more than any punches,â Tuivasa wrote on Instagram. âI tried I had a great camp looking forward to getting back in camp with the boys at Tripl3 MMA so much to work on. Always big love to my supporters especially the Aussie fans/crowd always cheering me on. Iâm sorry for falling short again. F*cking shit feeling.
âMy poor boy has watched me get a hiding a few too many times now but just like I always tell him as long as you give it all you have and keep trying thatâs all that matters. As long as Iâm doing this I will always keep trying had a great week together taking him and showing da fings. Didnât get the result son but that is how life goes sometimes. I hope I take all the loses for mine.â
Itâs been a rough run for Tuivasa, who was potentially nearing title contention as recently as 2022 when he scored a fifth straight win after knocking out Derrick Lewis. But Tuivasa fell to former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane in a Fight of the Night effort and that started his long losing streak in the UFC.
With six straight losses, thereâs no word yet if the UFC plans to retain Tuivasa on the roster. He sounds ready to get back to work to fix the problems that plagued him in this latest fight and he might be calling on a current champion to help him get there.
âKhamzat Chimaev, Iâm coming to wrestle brother teach me,â Tuivasa wrote. âI am sick of this cuddle shit.â
I live the due. I hope he finds happiness in whatever he does. He looked like he was two punches away from winning the last fight
He was too tired to win against a guy who couldnt have been more ready to be put down. I like Tai as well but thats embarrassing.
They should get Stingray from Cobra Kai to do his biopic.
As David Tua said once, âI no lightweight bruvâ.
