Srv was something else. He’s who i imagined I was when I shut my eyes and let loose on guitar.

Watching him play is like watching an athlete in flow state.
Or an extremely articulate writer effortlessly play with language.
If youve ever picked up a guitar, you know just how amazing he was.

Hes a bot overrated. Great technical guitarist, but cant male a somg to save his life.
He took Jimies style amd added more flash, but he mever created a great song on his own. Great guitarist but mediocre musician.

So he knew these floods were coming and didn’t shit about it. Fuck him.

Albert King and Lonnie Mack were giant influences. More than Hendrix.

I can’t stand white boy “boogie blues” like srv and Jeff beck.

There’s only one authentic down in the Delta blues band, and it’s Blueshammer.

Facts. Its plastic.

I don’t totally disagree, that Texas blues thing ain’t for me. Definitely inspired immensely by Hendrix (the goat). However, this song is up there with the best of them.
