Same. I pretty much just watch hand picked fights here and there nowadays. I could not imagine paying for this shit and watching entire cards live practically every weekend.
The sport peaked in the 00s and early 10s. We can never go back.
I don’t think Jon’s gonna fight Aspinall and if he did he definitely is going over to England to do it in Tom’s backyard. The challenger doesn’t get home advantage.
It would be epic for Tom but not for Jon. Jon try’s to be likeable. Going into enemy territory to fight a young up and comer in his time zone is giving way too many advantages away. If the UFC wants another Jones fight it will be on his terms only. Pereria in Vegas at heavyweight 9-12 months from now.
At this point have no problem waiting until the cards are available on ESPN plus to just watch. Reminds me, need to check out Pereira vs Roundtree still.
To be fair, when a champion moves up a division for legacy. They rarely ever start from the bottom and attempt to clean it out. they take advantage of key and favorable match-ups so that they CAN add to their legacy.
GSP, Anderson, Conor, and now Jones. Pereira has been fortunate there are no top-ranked wrestling-fighters in his way. He still needs to fight Ankalaev next. If nothing else, but to say he’s legitimately cleaned out the division.
