My grandmother died over 20 years ago. She was the only person I knew who regularly used the phrase “shit ass” when talking about somebody she didn’t like. I don’t remember anyone on here EVER using the phrase! Thank you for making me think of my Granny
For the dox’ers, yes, this is the same grandmother who took offense to me saying “hell” while talking to her. She bowed up, scowled, and in response exclaimed that I was a, “God damned nasty-talking shit-ass!”
I’m from eastern Kentucky, and it’s common parlance in those parts. If you notice, I used the term “turd head” in the next paragraph too. That’s another one. Probably my favorite is “swarping around”, which is a term used to describe something you have to head to the next county to do because you don’t want to get caught doing it in your own county.
Worked underground as part of a survey crew for a bit. That is a shit job if ever there was one. I was the lowest paid guy at the mine but had one of the most dangerous jobs. I was a non-union temporary worker.
Worked on oil rigs too. Another shit energy-driven job. The people who work in the oil field are crazy motherfuckers. Many of them are substance abusing gypsy types who work for awhile, get some money in their pocket, and then go on weeks long benders. Rinse and repeat. Some of them are normal, but that’s not typical.
