This fight is so big it doesn’t even need anyone promoting it. The network itself can put together a 24/7, ads etc, Turki is throwing up his money to finance it.
TKO is basically the third party involved, and the only reason they are involved is because of that oil money.
My thinking is that Turki is only using Dana in this particular fight to bring in more eyes. Which is great for the fight.
Bud is about to be 38 and is going to carry on even more weight. His legs won’t be there for 12 rounds imo. Especially when he’s getting hit to the body
I hope Canelo drops him early and makes Bud gun shy the rest of the way. But just pointing out that there is a way Bud can out point him. Dont think it will happen, but the possibility is there.

Which network do you mean? The network is gong to be Netflix. Why is it Netflix? Because they have signed a major deal with Dana (TKO). It’s Dana’s deal.
Barry, within the month Dana/Turki will announce their long term, multi-year, hundreds of millions of dollars, TV deals with Netflix and ESPN. Then you will understand it more.
Dana is getting Top Rank/Bob Arum’s ESPN spot, and they are going to be on Netflix as well. Turki (Sela and Ring) is a partner with TKO. A joint operation. I assume Saudis gets a %.

Canelo and Crawford are only working with Turki because of money. His Saudi oil money can out bid every other promoter. They don’t need to show their face around the event Ala Al Haymon. But their egos won’t let that happen.
Canelo and Bud could’ve easily went with GB or Eddie etc. but they can’t compete financially.
They don’t need TKO to have a successful event is what you’re not understanding. They just wanted to go with the highest bidder to get paid.
They won’t get rid of the other promoters lol. Especially when their egos start to clash and there isn’t enough money to make everyone happy
I am not disputing they are going where the money is. All fighters do. The fight is happening because of Turki $, and they will do what he says.
What Turki says, is that he is partnering with Dana, long term, and this is the first fight of that organisation.
It doesn’t matter if you feel Dana is ‘needed’. Turki is calling the shots. He wants Dana to run his boxing Empire.
As for the other promoters; TKO will take a bigger and bigger bite out of % market share. In year one, it will be modest. After 10 years I bet it’s over 70%. In MMA UFC has 90%.
You think with the negativity Dana has gained for being cheap, the lawsuits etc boxers are going to sign with him and they’ll be dominating 10 years from now?
We both agreed most likely their egos are going to clash. Turki thinks I’m gonna keep spending this allowance money I get from the Saudis and just let Dana be the face of the company because he has experience.

Yes, because fighters will get paid in the short term. Turki money. Then as TKOs market share increases, after years, only then will they bring the fighter pay down.
Also, after some time they may start acquiring rivals, like they did with Pride/Strikeforce/WEC etc
PBC are $900 million in debt and don’t have a proper TV deal.
Top Rank are scrambling trying to get a new TV after Dana took theirs. Also Bob is 94.
The others are all with DAZN. Hard to reach mass audiences with DAZN.
Boxing is ripe for aggressive takeover.
