There’s a middle ground somewhere.
The TKO brand won’t have the same authority as the UFC. The casual public doesn’t care who the boxing promoter is, they just want big fights.
If purses get too low somebody like Jake Paul could always partner with a private equity group, snatch up some disgruntled boxers and turn a profit.

Does the casual boxing fan still exist? If they do i think they might only be drawn by circus / influencer fights. I dont keep up with PPV numbers but the last big deal PPV I know of was Tank vs Garcia, which IMO kinda falls under the circus fight banner.
What was the last real big fight, Crawford vs Spence? Did the casual fan show up for that? Are the casual fans showing up for the Turki mega cards? Boxing feels pretty niche these days.

Information;
Before TKO and Turki went into business together, Turki tried to poach Dana away from UFC. He wanted Dana to leave and create a new boxing promotion controlled and owned by Saudi. Dana turned the offer down.
So just as Saudi poached a lot of players for LIV golf, a similar thing was their initial intent.
