I think Fedor was a fanatstic champion of his time in a relatively young sport.
Even back then he was always an undersized heavyweight and it seemed like once the much bigger men’s skills improved is when he began to hit a wall.
Even though he eventually won he also really struggled with Brett Rogers for a while. A guy whose background was changing tires for a living. Yet Overeem made Brett look like he didn’t even belong in the same cage as him it was that one sided.
Fedor is undoubtedly one of the greats in the sports history but if Brett Rogers managed to get on top of him and rain down punches then imagine what would Jon Jones do to him?

I’ve noticed that in a lot of sports that when someone has convinced themselves that person ‘‘X’’ is the greatest there ever was (or ever will be) then it’s becomes really difficult to get through to them no matter how much evidence you have on your side.
Almost a form of mental illness IMHO.

Yeah that’s a good point it becomes even worse when the figure who challenges their world view is someone that they really hate.

And definitely has heavier hands.
Fun bout so far, and wondering if Munguia’s success with his left-hook will inspire him to establish his right.
The Armo has a bit of a wide stance and loves to shift most of his weight onto his front foot.
Munguia is starting to use that to his advantage.
