His Excellency and his Eggcellency are gonna shake up the boxing world. Might need to do a welfare check for Oscar.
This time @Song2 canât ask âwhereâs the hot sauce?â
I aint even gonna lie it took me a second to catch this but it is good
100% in my mind that he knew he was going to fail a drug test and that he is hiding until itâs all out of his system.
Give Parker the next shot at Usyk he is far more deserving at this point IMHO.
Am I expected to believe this is teh first time heâs had fried chicken?!
The Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports (ABC) on Wednesday issued a statement in which it expressed being âconcerned with the definition of a boxing match,â specifically the difference between professional and exhibition fights.
In a day and age where celebrity boxing, catalyzed by the rise of influencers such as Jake Paul and KSI, has become all-time popular, the ABC is asserting what it deems a professional boxing match â and what it does not.
âIt is the sense of the Association of Boxing Commissions that, for a pugilistic match to be called âprofessional boxing,â an event must meet certain criteria that would include minimum medical requirements, round length, judging standards, glove size and weight classifications,â the ABC said in its statement.
â⌠The term âboxerâ means an individual who fights in a professional boxing match and because the ABC, in the published Unified Rules has defined a boxing match as one in which: Each round shall consist of a three (3) minute duration, with a one (1) minute rest period between rounds and because member boxing commissions in the ABC and regulators throughout the world specify minimum medical requirements, drug testing procedures, glove sizes, weight divisions, scoring and age limits, when variations are made such as shortened rounds, non-standard glove sizes and the like, the competition is no longer professional boxing.â
One such example of a professional fight that did not meet the above criteria was last yearâs Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match, which was regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) in November.
Paul and Tyson used 14-ounce gloves (rather than the standard 10 ounces for heavyweights) and fought for eight two-minute rounds (rather than the male standard of three-minute rounds.
âThe Association of Boxing Commissions believes that regulatory commissions should regulate all combative sports for the safety of the participants, but celebrity feature fights and other events that deviate from true boxing rules should not be referred to as âprofessional boxing,â the ABC said. âWhether it is called an exhibition or non-conventional fighting, in which no decision is rendered, or a fight where one is determined, unless standard boxing rules are utilized, it is a sham if billed as a professional boxing event. It is fraught with evils such as the risk of mismatches, gambling manipulation and dangers to participants. The term âprofessional boxerâ is one which is held in high esteem for those few athletes who compete in the sweet science and follow all the rules set forth.â
Tuesdayâs statement was signed by a ABC president Mike Mazzulli (Mohegan Sun), first vice president Scott Bowler (Utah), past president Brian Dunn (Nebraska), second vice president Matt Schowalter (Minnesota), treasurer Dennis Reno (North Carolina), and secretary Tim Shipman (Florida).
The ABC added that it is not against modified standard bouts taking place but said commissions must do so under an exhibition designation. Mazzulli is regulating the KSI vs. Dillon Danis match on March 29 in Manchester, England, which will be an exhibition â not a professional contest.
âIf commissions, sanctioning bodies or promoters are allowed to alter the rules to suit particular weaknesses or strengths of competitors, the integrity that remains in the sport of boxing will be destroyed,â the ABC said. âPromoters claiming that this event needs one-minute rounds, claiming another event needs six-ounce gloves, claiming that other events are only for three rounds, or promoters using only two judges rather than three, or a promoter who wants an event scored on points, not on a 10 point must. None of this means a commission or regulatory body must refuse consideration of the event, but under no circumstances it should be titled âprofessional boxingâ regardless of opponents on the card.â

Muah
Great news Parker 100% deserves it! Especially as (IMHO) DDD has been exposed as a drug cheat hiding from the testers.
Since he won the title if he fights parker this will be the 5th consecutive time Usyk has fought either a current, former or future world champion since he first beat AJ.
For contrast since Tyson Fury first won the title against Vladimir in his 12 fights since he has only fought 2 current or former legit heavyweight champions. Wilder and Usyk and he could only beat one of them.
What a sham of a career for someone who was so gifted and talented. Even though he is a two time world champion I feel he has wasted much of his career.
Usyk is a great example of how to maximise your potential and conduct yourself properly as a fighter IMHO.
Although I donât like him personally anymore there isnât any doubt (if you are being intellectually honest) that he was a fantastically gifted and talented fighter who could really have achieved so much more in the sport.
Instead he wasted it with long periods of inactivity, fighting cans and going many months without training even while he was WBC champion. The training he did do I wonder if it was as good as it could have been to maximise his potential.
He can still possibly become a 3 time world champion if he really devotes himself to the sport properly but Iâm having trouble seeing it to be honest. Just seems like he fell out of love with the sport many years a go.
âIf you look at what I did with the UFCâŚâ
LOL He did f*ck all with the UFC. It was someone else at Spike who came up with the idea of The Ultimate Fighter which Dana White initially shot down. It was someone elseâs idea to make Fight Island a reality during the pandemic. This guy taking all the credit for other peoplesâ work. Dude was carrying the bags for the Fertittas at best.
TUF was also a direct rip off of the WWEâs tough enough series too.
So zero marks for originality there.
