The previews I’ve seen for this movie are incredible. The fact that the logos, ring etc are accurate, they don’t change the history, or the figures involved (from what I can tell). Hearing Quandros, seeing Bas, Bader as Coleman, Usyk as Igor and the Rock’s very convincing Kerr, has me really anticipating this movie. I also think Emily Blunt is a good actress. I think I might really enjoy this. I hope if it is good it does well. Since mma began, Hollywood has struggled with mma as a subject.

All the ads describe Kerr as a UFC fighter, even though most of his career was in Pride. Maybe it would just confuse modern MMA fans.

Unfortunately, the word “Pride”, especially when stylized as “PRIDE”, has been hijacked by pedophiles and degenerates.
The connotation with that word is not worth the risk.
Absolute last thing you want to do when advertising an MMA sports drama is confuse the general audience by mentioning an oriental MMA promotion that went out of business almost 20 years ago.

I saw Kerr and his girlfriend arguing several times at the hotel, bus, and venue before the PrideFC 7 fights. Everyone (fighters, corners, etc.) saw it wondered why he brought her along. She was such a distraction that we used it as an example of who not to bring to fights.
