UFC had deeper pockets:
"Thanks for the pictures.
Please do not give up hope on us. Without getting into excessive detail we actually had to have our
attorney send a VERY polite letter to UFC since we registered first, before anyone, with the screen
writers guild our concept of both a documentary of sport and a “reality” series thereafter. In
essence the UFC (SpikeTV) did not register anything with writers guild and more or less have
engaged in poaching our idea.
Not sure how it is going to play out–same thing is happening with Jeffrey Katzenberg and Mark
Burnett
with them developing the Contenders (S. Stallone) for boxing and then
Fox (The Champ) stealing almost idenitical idea and launching there own-they too are taking legal
aveneues. Thus, please bďż˝ patient hope you are well.

Not now. This was years ago. We where developing a similar concept before the UFC.

You mean like a KOTC Fighter theme show ? Hard for me to comprehend seeing its been 3 or more decades since before UFC
