I wouldn’t say never… Jones legacy will be surpassed because he wasnt as active as he could have been.
Someone else will come along and get 10 more title wins. Might be another 15-20 years though.

I like Tom, but I really doubt he has half the career as Jones. Lucky for him I dont see the division as being very strong and he will have a string of easy fighters to pad his record book. I cant think of a single dangerous fighter in the division. Maybe Gane but I think Tom can take him down and sub or control him.

The average fighter today is very skilled so whoever tries will have their hands full. Not to mention you’ve got to stay healthy for the duration of the career. Well, maybe not healthy, given Jones lifestyle choices, but free from serious injuries.

Lost by disqualification. Lost to Gustafson, Reyes, and Santos. Tested positive for steroids. Allowed to fight after testing positive for steroids. Eye gouged opponents to the extent they had to strategically avoid it and design new gloves. Moved up a weight class to fight a fringe top 10 and 42 year old on a 4 year layoff.

The assertion is debateable. He has had a very long career and has defended or fought for thectitle so many times.
I dont consider Khabib to be in the discussion because the quality of a majority of his wins were nobodies.
You can argue gsp because he fought consistently the best in a stacked division
Anderson had a long run but he fought cans too duecto a weak division
