Tom and Jon is on

This

Jones has caused nothing but problems for the UFC for the last 15 years.

He absolutely does. He’s the interim heavy weight champ who’s finished almost the entire top ten of the division, Jon is the champ, there can only be one champion. If Jon doesn’t want to fight him then he has to vacate the belt. He should’ve fought him and not Stipe, that was a shameful title defense.

No he doesn’t. The promotion just has to do their job and strip him for inactivity.

It wasn’t even really a title defense. At this point the HW division has two championships. And the ā€œI’m Jon Jonesā€ belt is worth more than the Gane/Francis actual belt.

Everyone knows the realer of the two belts as far as the HW division goes is the one Tom has.

What legacy? Beating old fighters or drugs use?

Do you think Jon is unique in his drug use? Are there any of the greats who didn’t climb up to the top by stepping on the previous generation? Do you think his opponents were all clean? And who were all the great LHW challengers he didn’t fight while he was ā€œbeating old fightersā€ exactly?

Jon sucks as a human being. I’ve hated him since the Shogun fight. But that motherfucker has more UFC title defenses than non-title MMA bouts. And he’s undefeated. And he’s been doing that for almost 20 years. That’s so preposterously insane. MMA is full of shitheads, cheaters, PED abusers…but no one has done anything close to what Jon has. I fucking hate him but I’ve been around fighting and fighters long enough to understand how impressive his career is, and I’m frankly sick of hearing people say he’s ducking or afraid to fight some young putz who will never accomplish 1/10 of what he has.

Plus, thanks to Jon we all know a picogram is a very small unit of mass, specifically one-trillionth of a gram.

He did not even lost to blades, he stepped in, injured.

UFC heavyweight title has been contested 6 times since 2019, once per year. Jon defending just as much as Stipe and Francis were.

That title has been a joke since they gifted it back to Randy who had vacated so they could give Brock the most favorable matchup possible

UFC’s biggest problem is activity of their champs and top stars.

Even when it was 3x a year it was probably too little.

Smaller roster, compete 4-6x a year. If you come out of a fight with no injuries fight a month later.

6x a year cutting weight too hard on your body? Then solve that problem… Not sure how well One’s solution is but something to look at. Its been a while now.

He didn’t

He teased it on his YouTube

At this point I think it’s more likely that the UFC will bring in Fedor to fight Jones

I had to come back and reply to my own post because I completely forgot Tom rematched Blaydes and still knocked him out. Lol

The weight cutting thing won’t change but I agree about the inactivity. It’s because as a champ you’re getting paid more so you don’t need to fight as often. Not that it should be that way but I think that’s what’s happening. In the old days when champs got paid more it didn’t matter as much because they probably loved fighting more.
