Coleman’s ufc run in the second half of his career was very disappointing - he was lighter, slower and still had weak striking and a very small gas tank
I’m a big Coleman fan but he never rounded out his game..

He was in his early to mid-40s by then. It probably wouldn’t have mattered much even if he was more well-rounded.
Like OP said, the Rua fight showed how much Shogun had fallen off from his Pride days considering he was still only in his late-20s.
