I’ve heard a couple weird things from a person I trust.

He’s got a white nationalist group from Ukraine giving him a whole lot of money. He was supposedly introduced to them by President Awesome of Karate Combat.

He’s told people that he may very well unass the US after the tournament’s over because the IRS is incredibly interested in him.

The ADCC did some back room deals to take care of their people prior to the event this weekend.

Craig Jones went over to The Ukraine to borrow more money to get things off the ground (we can verify that he was there via his social media).

If this is true, that dude’s in deep shit.

To clear up the “under the table” deals

Craig was calling every single ADCC competitor and was offering money to defect to his tournament once they landed.

More than a few of the loyal athletes contacted Mo and told him what was going on

Mo responded with additional funds to a lot of the athletes

Craig made a video stating that anyone taking money under the table from ADCC was ruining the sport and defeating his intent.

Craig then went back to Ukraine to secure additional funding for his event

I am confused. What is the issue with the origin of the money? Was it funds for the war? Why would the IRS be interested unless the winners or Craig fail to pay taxes.

The stream last night had 150k on YouTube, which is pretty good for BJJ. There was A LOT of promotion for that event, and it looks like they spent A LOT of money. They gave away a car to a fan, I think a Kia or something, but still! Definitely seemed to have some serious bankrolling behind it.

Why would a group like that be funding a BJJ tournament though? What’s in it for them?

So the money goes like this:

I work and pay taxes.

Taxes get diverted to support Ukraine.

Ukraine finances neo-nazi groups.

Neo-nazi groups give Craig Jones money for a BJJ tournament.

So I paid for a BJJ tournament? Guess I’ve seen worse uses for our tax dollars, but what the fuck…
