Not sure if others enjoyed the first 2 seasons, but I did. Haven’t started this one yet. Figured I’d give a heads up though.

Oh yeah those were pretty fun to watch
Master Ken FTW…
At the Master Ken part now but figured I’d type my thoughts up until now (I’m shit with names so will go with what they were known for).
Krav Maga guy. When he did the introduction where he is chased in the parking lot and gets into whatever stance that was, was it supposed to be a non aggressive stance? If it was it didn’t look it was. If it is a combat stance then I’ve got no problem with it.
I would be fucked for the running.
Also whichever guy it was that made it out, then ran back in shouldn’t have gotten the point. This competition is supposed to simulate reality. If I’m being chased, run into a police station, then turn around and go back out and get the shit stabbed out of me and hit with a hammer (which is what happened to that guy) I’m fucked.
Jewish guy is treating this like a contest. His partner is the shorter BJJ guy and he’s pissed about it. When he goes out does he only go with buddies above a certain height and skillset?
The advice from the cop about splitting up because you have a better chance of one of you making it out I’m unsure of how I feel. You split up from your friend he ends up getting killed I would think there would be a lot of self blame for that. Life and death struggle I don’t believe I would abandon my friends. Granted this is when I was a lot younger but stood between a gun and a coworker, and a couple of other instances where I put my health on the line for friends.
I don’t mean to shit on the contestants just what I observe.
Edited to add I wasn’t really surprised at the Parkour guys finishing the first challenge. That wasn’t much of an obstacle course.
Also forgot to add I 100% would have fallen for the scam.
First season was pretty entertaining. They were really onto something special there.
But tuned out halfway through season 2. It seemed they were really pushing the trucker guy with “zero” experience when he was the obvious plant for one of the showrunner’s martial arts school/program.
Then it looked like they were going out of their way to make sure Jeff Chan wouldn’t repeat as the winner.
And the shaolin monk guy, just LOL. The guy was nothing but cringe. He even sucked as a stand-in for a regular person.
2nd episode dropped and it was entertaining and I learned a couple of things. First challenge I think I would have succeeded as I would have just kept walking. 2nd challenge my family isn’t stupid enough to invite a stranger into the house. 3rd challenge was a learning point with the cop at the door and calling 911. 4th one was deliberately a shit show. Master Ken was entertaining.
Yes, a huge influence by the Australian guy that owns that school that sponsored or was a part of it.
They definitely fucked Jeff Chan over as much as they could also
