What are the most egregious flaws, in your opinion?
I’ve been playing it forever as well and love the game. Mileage will vary.
And correct me if I’m wrong, but you not only love the game as it was when you played it, but there’s reason to believe that the version that’s going to hit consoles is going to be a sufficiently improved product.
The launch version has a ton of improvements that people have been asking for in online play. Its definitely improved over the current version of the game and does address some of the biggest complaints with the current version like body uppercut spamming. But theres single player modes too that I’ve never touched so those might absolutely suck, I dont know. Single player is not why I play competitive sports or fighting games but thats just me.
Personally, I don’t get into career modes, but I like to play online against people, and I like to play exhibition matches against the computer. I don’t like to create fighters in boxing games or MMA games, and I don’t like to create players in other sports games. I’d rather use current players/fighters or legends.
So, whether a game is good or not hinges on gameplay first and foremost, and the roster.
For me.
Vandalz, is Sugar Ray Robinson dominant at welterweight? I’m wondering what the odds are that 90 overall Julio Cesar Chavez can hang with 92 overall SRR?
It would be great if he could because there are a lot of interesting matchups for JCC at welterweight. If not, not a huge deal, because JCC has a better overall relative to the other fighters at lightweight and featherweight, and there are lots of interesting matchups for him there too.
SRR is dominant for sure but right now is a body spamming shitfest and Canelo does it better so hes the current #1 MW.
Did you mean to say WW? If not, is it the same at WW? Canelo > SRR at the moment?
Yeah I meant WW. Canelo is also the top pick at MW.
Anyone wanna get that ass whooped tonight between contender series fights?
Hello sir. Any chance you’ll be playing the game on PS5 when it’s released there?
A man might be…
I havent played since may but if you did online we probably fought already
Nope
How is that even possible? I played like an obsessed maniac. Did you stay away from ranked or HW?
I’m expecting Chavez to be a contender at featherweight and lightweight, and I’m hoping he can hang with the best at welterweight.
For thirty dollars I have had fun with the game in Early Access.
What is the retail price of the game for consoles when released?
$60 for the regular version and $80 for the WBC Deluxe Edition.
I think that this version is supposed to be quite improved over the Early Access version. So, if you liked that one…
