Woodley actually saying something reasonable, nice. Usman is probably top ten for sure but there are a bunch in front of him. I think Rory Macdonald knocks him out if they fought. What about Carlos newton. What about Karo.
Usman is definitely number 2 though you have to give him that. There was no talent during Hughes reign, he beat up a bunch of lightweights this is not even the same universe

Yup. A big part of Usman (and Tyron) was his fucking arrogance, they were both different fighters when they had to deal with someone that took it to them.
Mattt Hughes accomplished more in his time and was more impressive relative to his competition than Kamaru Usman. Usman only fought 3 different guys in his title reign too

Hughes beat Renzo, Royce, BJ, GSP and Carlos Newton within ten years. I’m not sure who Usman defended against that is a better name than any of those guys. Colby? Burns? Come on.
Don’t forget Sakurai and Sherk.
And only like 2 of Hughes’ first 30 fights were in the UFC, before his historic run.
And Hughes’ style is kind of timeless.
You know what he’s going to do – but good luck stopping it.

My guess is it would be a boring fucking fight with that Canadian frog winning a UD and Usman not having a scratch on him
The Sakurai win is way under appreciated. Hyato was 19-1 with a KO win over Frank Trigg and his only loss to some guy named Anderson Silva.
