The stoppage - what in the fuck was that about? Usyk looked like shit .. I rarely watch boxing and I tune in and see something like that.. terrible look for boxing

Was this a big of robbery as I’m reading online? Was Usyk on the way to getting an KO and it was early stoppage or totally unjustified?

Huge robbery. Usyk was turning the tide and had just knocked Rico down but it was the end of the round and Verhoeven was not near being hurt to the point of needing the ref to step in - like the announcer said - the ref basically had to fight to get into the middle of the fighters in order to stop it

It was a bs stoppage for sure. Round was over in seconds. Exchange wasnt stoppage worthy.
Usyk definitely could have ended it in the 12th but Rico earned the right to get his 60 secs and another round.

Yup. I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that Usyk shouldn’t have been winning on anyone’s scorecard, or the absolute dogshit and obviously criminal stoppage.
I was watching the fight and I’m not the best at scoring boxing but it seemed pretty clear to me that Rico was winning.
He got robbed.

Rico was pretty much dominating. Usyk won 2 rounds at most. He would have won the final round too obviously I can’t believe the ref stopped it with like 3 seconds left in the round

Those cards were open scoring, corrupt open scoring
Those cards are fixed and also biased towards Usysk heavily
I had 6-2 rounds towards Rico after 8, all those cards had 4-4
They announced it after round 8 and I knew there was no chance to win except some knockdowns or a KO. Broadcast team tried to ignore the fact they knew of the fix being in when they learned that 76-76 had been announced in the arena after 8. Rico makes it to the final bell and he still loses though, no doubt about that. Judges were in the bag.
