Pat was way too much in the corner and coached her out of her comfort zone too many times. I liked Pat the fighter but Pat the coach is like Junie Browning as a fighter, the will is there but the skill is lacking.
Anyone that has ever coached women knows this reaction happens more than you’d expect when they lose (not the slapping) but blaming the coach. I coached an entire team in BJJ at a major tournament. 25+ competitors. Men and a few women. Anyone that has done this knows it’s a chaotic day. One blue belt bitch lost. Got smoked. Competed like absolute shit. I had one of our other coaches go talk to her after the match as I had another two up across the arena that I had to bust ass to go coach.
Bitch left the tournament right after her match. Later that night texted me (got my number from someone) and ripped my ass for “not calling to check in on her”.
I’m supposed to find your number and call you at home to check in on you after a tournament because you totally shit the bed? I was there for 9hrs coaching everyone I could. Our team podiumed, but I needed to focus on you? Bitch please!!

If you don’t coach, despite what you said in plain words right there, no worries, sounds like a very good thing in your case. Thumbs up all around. Party on.
