This is why I rarely go to big events anymore.
First I can watch it at home , have better beer and food while I watch it. Its not just only about ticket prices what are high
$17 bucks for a single beer, another $20 for some gas station quality food like nachos or a hotdog/bratwurst . Its just the entire experience is not great. Getting in/out of the venue , going to the bathroom in dirty bathrooms .
One thing that somewhat perplexes me is about 1 year ago I went to a MLB game with some family and paid up the ass for everything, tickets, beer, a couple hot dogs.
And the facility was like 1/4 full. Like here is an idea, lower ticket prices to get a few more people in the doors , lower food/beverage prices so people will actually buy things. I can’t imagine if you even sold beer for $10 you wouldn’t make a decent profit and maybe people would actually pay for a beer or two.
My brother in law was with and was like “No lets go to this brewery and have some beers and food before the game because the beer is expensive and the food is shit”;
Fuck it I have gotten old, I would simply rather watch it on my TV at home while I cook some actually good food and a couple better beers of my choosing

I love the experience of the crowd. The raw energy is awesome, and cannot be duplicated. Well, that’s when the crowd is great and rowdy! In MMA, higher prices at least have not affected the crowd too much. But I’m a metal head, huge prices mean much tamer crowds. So it doubly sucks.
Yep, I almost never eat or drunk at venues. I even sneak in water or booze. Enough of being taken for ATMs.

My buddy keeps telling me to upgrade to a PS5 so we can start playing GTA 5 again with better graphics. I keep telling him I’m trying to keep a roof over my head and don’t have 700-1k+ to throw on a video game system I barely have time to play.
