I honestly didn’t know they new site was up and going.
If you don’t set it to read-only, one issue you might have is people accidently navigating to it and posting on the threads there. For instance, if I want to jump to the boxing thread, I just type “boxi” in my search bar then jump to this URL: -
If that is user behaviour, it’s going to end up being a mess. I think you may need to set it to read-only to force users to move over. Especially tonight with the big boxing match on with very active threads, this could get messy.

It’s their software, but not their server anymore.
It’s honestly pretty cool that they just let you use their stuff anywhere. I have no complaints.

No more discourse server, but they own the forum software much like an OS.

Discourse is the framework the forum runs on. Discourse themselves can also host it. We have moved away from their hosting.
