I’d be shocked if Shavkat doesn’t win. Seems like he could take him down and submit him. If Shavkat stands the whole fight like he did with Geoff Neal then Shavkat is simply too stupid to ever reach his full potential.

i think shavkat is overrated. but gary isn’t the man to prove me right.
Overrated? Hes got 18 fights, 18 finishes, 6 in the ufc.
For me he has 2 negatives - he gets hit way too much, chin is solid but that doesnt last forever.
Seems like he coasts sometimes which could cost him against high calibre opposition that could take him to a decision.
Aside from that, i can see this guy winning and keeping the belt for a long time.

Shavkat seems reckless with his standup, he got hit too much against Neal. A good striker will hurt him. I’m not saying Neal is bad, but he isn’t an elite fighter

He coasts some? He has a 100% finish rate as you pointed out. Those two things don’t line up.
Yeah, like in the neal fight.
It was almost like he realised he was heading to a decision then decided to finish.
If hes doing that against one of the top guys, he might not be able to get that finish.
Neal is a very tough fighter. He is an elite gate keeper
Yeah- he is one of those guys that can’t quite make it to title contention, but he is not an easy night for anyone. A win over Neal is a good win.
