I play Offense Only as I hate playing defense lol. Also have the clock sped up between plays, so each game only takes 15 minutes to play.
I think I’m going to buy the NCAA Football and Madden 26 bundle, there looks to be vast improvements to both.
I’m reading that there’s a whole cult of gamers that play Offline Franchise mode only, so glad to know that I’m not the only one.
How do you manage to play offense only?
I saw my nephew playing the latest MLB the show and damn it’s very involved. Guys be forking over a lot of money for those player cards
In career mode I think I just played my at bats for my player and plays I was involved in in the field
When you start the game, it gives you various options; full game, offense only, defense only, full sim.
Yeah, I don’t play Superstar career mode, that’s a scam. In those modes, they start your character off shitty and you either have to spend countless hours in training mode to build up your attributes or you have to buy virtual coins or whatever to speed up the process. You’d also have to pony up to buy nice gear too, what a waste of extra time and money.
In Offline Franchise mode, you can simply create any player(s) however you wish without any bottlenecks or restrictions. I’ve always played in that mode, have never had the urge to play online either against other kids and cheaters lol.
The new Madden is supposed to be more intuitive in that every game will have a different playing experience, so they’re using AI to simulate more randomness into the game. This is good as in the past the computer always uses the same logic and it gets too predictable and boring.

I was talking about the mode where you can buy cards - you pay a certain fee for a pack of cards and each has say 10 cards in it - each of a different player at a set rating.. for instance you may get a Walter Payton rank 93 if you were playing nfl2k.. I’ve seen guys put a lot of money into this mode as they try to build an elite team stacked with legendary players
I picked up Suit for Hire in the Steam sale. It’s pretty cool so far, like Max Payne / John Wick with cool physics.

Anyone ever played Warhammer Rouge Trader? I chickened out of buying Baulders Gate 3 AGAIN. I bought Rouge Trader instead because it was on sale for half the price of BG3, and is supposedly good. I worry that my mush brain can’t handle these types of games but I am curious about them.
I’m still playing Tainted Grail but I’m kinda stuck and wood like a change of pace. Amen
