What's your first strike in a street fight?

I was in eight situations that resulted in violence as an adult. The majority of which were the result of being in places or situations that I shouldn’t have been & most involved individuals who were drinking. But, these events did occur & I was fortunate enough to come out on top in seven of the eight. And aside from finishing one of the incidents vs a drunk/high on coke neighbor with a guillotine choke, I put an end to my adversaries with my right hand.

Most of you know of my background as a long-time pro boxer, but I’m also a black belt in kickboxing & Kajukenbo Kempo, so I had a lot of weapons to choose from, but my instinctual go-to weapon was always my most lethal one. It was my opening move because it rarely took more than one or two to end a fight.

How are your ligaments at your age? Honestly the number 1 reason a fighter loses their prowess is age related ligament wear and tear. I’m still young but I prioritize ligament health. Any break in the kinetic chain and it’s over for a fighter, esp if it hurts to throw a punch, or get down and grapple.

Funny you should ask.
My shoulders are fucked, I probably have one good punch in me before the rotator cuff blows out completely.

I don’t have any issues aside from a little occasional soreness in my left elbow.
