Carlos Newton should have won and the same with the train on the tracks.

I’ve met him, I’d say 5’7" to 5’9 is right.

He threatened to beat the shit out of my buddy because Matt wanted to park in his space at a radio station.

I know a guy that went to college with him - he said Matt was a bit of a bully ..according to this guy, Matt Hughes is guilty of throwing one of his friends into a River where he drowned. How accurate this is I’m not sure

Gurgel probably could of gotten quite a bit farther if he used any of his grappling credentials. Instead he was always trying to prove he wasn’t just a grappler :man_facepalming:

It’s true. Gotta hespect that tho.

He’s 6th degree BB lol

I’ve noticed a correlation between iq and the need to be respected.

Why didn’t he just walk in front of the train though? More effective than being inside a truck, which is basically a barrier of steel to protect you. Cars survive all the time after being hit by a train.

It’s so frustrating when fighters do that - fight to your strength!!

Or maybe the train failed? If he wanted he could easily attempt again.. Matt is so tough he survived.. relearned to speak eat and walk.. maybe he is the biggest D bag of all time but either way it’s pretty inspiring to see someone come back from a major TBI.

If I remember correctly; I vaguely recall Ricardo got too comfortable on his feet and Matt rocked him just before slapping on the sub.

I don’t have to ask you.. we have all seen your mental breakdown over Tito ortiz and his failed restaurant. You are still posting so you survived..

I don’t take mental health funny. I never tried to off myself and you’re a scumbag for assuming.

Eh.. your post implied you may have tried in the past and for you to say otherwise would be a lie. Get over yourself

ā€œLess than 99% of true suicide victims attempt again! Ask me how I knowā€¦ā€

I mean what exactly was your implication? Wow so vague and mysterious! Fuck off man you are the one making light of suicide

The rural intersection on Beelers Trail where the collision occurred cuts through open farmland southwest of Raymond, Illinois. [1, 2]

  • Blind Spots & Terrain: As noted by local reports and discussions about the crash site, the crossing was highly notorious because the road curves slightly before hitting the tracks. During the late spring and summer months, the intersection is heavily surrounded by tall cornfields, drastically reducing a driver’s peripheral visibility of oncoming train traffic. [1]
  • Lack of Active Warning Signals: At the time of Matt Hughes’ accident in 2017, this specific grade crossing was passive. It relied entirely on standard, non-electronic railroad crossbuck signs. There were no flashing lights, digital warning bells, or physical gate barriers to block vehicles when a train approached
