Who's winning? TMMAC or Discourse

In terms of numbers. Thete was a huge initial exodus to TMMAC, so I have to think they have way more ex OGers, but discourse seems to have the momentum.

There are rumors of a huge migrant caravan heading here from TMMAC.

In terms of numbers, I would guess about 1K here, maybe 3K at TMMAC and 1K still wandering the wastelands at Alta headquarters. Just pulling those numbers out of my ass so no idea how accurate they are

I didn’t realize it was a competition. Now all the talk about “how do we get new members‽” makes sense.

Both places are great.

People make the place and both have plenty of good ones

Missing the point if you view it as “us vs them”, that is literally grade school mentality lol…exact same type of people on both sites

Tmmac has a bunch of people I like but I personally find the format to be horrible. I’m not sure why anyone would stay there now that this is available. I’m still checking in over there, but I’m hoping everyone settles here.

Definitely not.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about the folks at TMMAC.

My issue with the UG even before Alta was that we were always piggybacking on entities that didn’t give a shit about the OG, for the most part.

This site is an answer to that - totally independent of any other group or interests. By OGers, for OGers. Built on a platform that we’re familiar with and works well on phones etc.

I wish the TMMAC people the best.

I really wanted to do this exact thing years ago. I spoke with Alto about it but I knew it was a pipe dream because no one would ever make the move. Everyone being forced to move will ultimately be the best thing to happen to the OG since it was gangbanged into existence.

To be honest I don’t like this format much, but I do like most of the people so I will be around. Pages always seemed better to me for some reason so TMMAC is appealing in that way and it has been around 9+ years. As usual I will be lurking/posting both forums.

I guess to each their own, glad we have options.

You can be both.

Also, lots of foreigners here. When I was in Maui, it was awesome to have something active at night.

Both, for sure.

Alta is the enemy.

Wild has been very accepting to an influx of foul mouthed lowlives by the dozens.

It would be awesome if they somehow merged using this platform, which we are all use to by now since we lost frames.

People say TMMAC/Wild was welcoming and all that but really I think they had no choice. They got overrun by a mob that accidentally left some stragglers behind and they’re afraid to ask them to leave :joy:

It’s not a competition but I wouldn’t want to see the og crowd get split. There are barely enough of us as is. I’d prefer if everyone picked one platform to migrate to (this one because I like the interface better).

See the thread on my only problem with tmmac.

I think those new accounts are approved one by one manually, so you were certainly welcomed

Bad look to bash such a welcoming forum IMO
