Every time someone tried to move away from the US dollar, his reign was brutally over. Very weird to read so many other answers. Media are good at hiding the obvious.

Russia sure went away from the dollar because dumb politicians tried to leverage the power of the US dollar against them since the Ukraine invasion. Which is such a dumb move that could trigger a global move away form the US dollar and weaken America - think China, India, the BRICs countries.

Stupid dumb politicians. Cutting off their arms to take away a few fingers. They could have just sent Putin some fireworks! Of course, it’s the people paying for their mistakes, and other people doing the actual dying in wars.

Russia has dealt in rubles, and in Chinese Yuan. There’s the Euro. There’s of course the country doing the dealing’s currency. BRICs IDK what they’ve done, but they’ve done it, only partly but they are looking for other ways while before would not even think about it. All because politicians are arrogant like you and don’t think of consequences.
