Working homeless hacks

I remember a bunch of people posting on here being homeless because of a divorce or string on bad luck events.

Most of the guys still worked, got a membership at 24 hour fitness and showered.

I can’t see sleeping in my car unless I could fold the seats out and sleep flat. I’d probably buy mini van and use that.

I was watching a video of a homeless Japanese man that stays in cyber cafes for $13 a night, too bad they don’t have this here.

I could be homeless here for a while aI think. I’d probably get a screen for my windows and hang out at Starbucks all day with the other bums

The saddest story was that guy here who was dying. It was a sad tale of a man who lost everything, even his son.

I couch surfed friends and family but my situation was for a set duration for a job so a little different.

Getting a large enough vehicle for sleeping/storage would hurt with a long commute.

Depending but around here I know a few guys that lived behind their work place travel trailer.

A mini van isn’t that bad imo. If I was homeless I’d live close to work. I think I’d also try to work overtime or get a second job.

I worked security as a side hustle and would sleep on the night shift

On a side note I’ve thought about opening a camp ground for tourist and locals down on their luck. A place to park you vehicle and maybe some common areas like a fire pit, benches, covered tables etc. I even wanted to put showers but I feel I’d get screwed by the local government of drug bums

I know of two guys I served with who are “homeless” and live on the river bank in tents. A lot of people. family, friends (including myself) have offered to find them housing, etc. They have been offered shelter, food, jobs just about everything but refuse all help. Suffering from severe PTSD and have probably not seen a doctor or a dentist in many years. They wash in the river which is polluted and cook with the same water. So sad. You can only help those who will take the help.

You can get a job and walk up to a construction site tell em you got your own tools then stay at a homeless camp thing besides a church. You’ll befriend a big black man and stumble onto some special glasses then it’ll take a heck of a turn (spoiler: it’s aliens)

80% of the population basically lives on their phone and probably would have no real quality of life change if they lived in a van as long as they still had a phone with data.

Quality of life is likely better living in a van
