I love boxing and I’ll always put it on if it’s on, but there’s nothing special about Zuffa boxing. It’s not bad, but it’s not different than any other boxing show that’s been on basic cable since forever. I like it, but I don’t foresee it being a giant success.
Meh. They’ll make some money with Benn because he’s so polarizing.
And Berlanga’s a bust. He was fun to watch when he was beginning his career with all those first round KOs, but the vast majority were scrubs. Once he began to mix with better quality opposition, most of his fights began going the distance & his flaws became more & more apparent.
I don’t know what Zuffa Boxing plans to do with him, but I think he’ll probably end up as cannon fodder for better fighters.
