That’s a 19 yr old you would have to take very very serious
young george left himself open to a bunch of the russians jabs
but George’s power was just something else that once he landed a couple of his own jabs they paid dividends shortly after and allowed him to throw the power straights and hooks
My dad got back from Vietnam in ‘70. Around 72 or 73 he got into some minor trouble in Houston and hired a lawyer, the lawyer got him out of trouble. Now, dad was about 5’11”, 220# and in decent shape at the time.
One day he was in the lawyer’s office, and in walked George Foreman, who was using the same lawyer for whatever reason. Dad said George was HUGE!

George was a massive human being. I was in training camp with him in Rochester, NY for his fight with Mark Young back in 1989. I was supposed to fight Bill Robinson on the undercard, but then got bumped up to fight former lightweight champion Harry Arroyo when it looked like his opponent wasn’t going to make it due to a snow storm. But just as I was about to step onto the scale, Bruce “The Mouse” Strauss walked in & as a result, I wound up working corners that night. Including Foreman’s. So, I walked away with half my fight pay & a nice chunk of change without having to get punched in the face. Lol. But I’d have rather fought rather than working corners. Still, it was an honor to work as a second for George Foreman.
I did get to fight Robinson on a Larry Holmes undercard about two years later.
Anyhow, I’m 5’8” & weighed about 150 when this pic was taken & Big George makes me look like a damn dwarf. Lol.
