PJ low gut but defended well… jumpos sides and gets RUS up a little bit but can not convert…

RUS will not open up and the ref lets him block off with head down… PJ crashes skulls hard at the end…

that was a crazy unique par terre from RUS… not describing it well, but, it totally caught PJ off gaurd…

Kids from Maryland come up to pa for open tournaments sometimes. It doesn’t go well.
100%. PA wrestling is a different world than WV and MD, most of the state at least.
coming up through youth, we thought the same thing when PA kids would try USAW stuff…
PA is generally very weak in freestyle and greco. They are only really exceptional at folk.
I’ve noticed from just rolling with them in BJJ or MMA, guys who are state champs from PA in wrestling are often a lot easier to fuck up than middling high school wrestlers who are better at greco and freestyle.
It’s easy to rattle off NCAA champs from PA, very difficult to name many that succeeded at international levels or at the highest levels of MMA.
