At 9-0, Mark Gastineau needed only 3 more wins to fight Big George Foreman. Problem was Tim “Doc” Anderson didn’t get the memo or just didn’t care! Anderson knocked down and physically beat up Gastineau for five rounds It was literally embarrassing. Rick “Elvis” Parker, “The architect of this and many other fixed fights such as Randall “Tex” Cobb vs. Buddy Barch
and most if not every Gastineau fight” Was LIVID after the Gastineau Anderson bout. In fact sources said Anderson was later poisoned during the rematch that Parker made sure of the outcome. This left Tim extremely sick and while trying to get Rick admitting on the poison so he would be able to find out why he was so sick and barely able to walk. On April 20, 1995 Tim Anderson unloaded six shots, then reloaded into Elvis. Ending Parker’s life. Quite a story and sad one at that
Thus ends the last known era of Professional fight fixing.

The recent 30 for 30 on the Jets defensive line was done well. Gastineau was presented as both a sympathetic and completely unlikable person.
Gastineau was a douchebag back when he played and he never grew out of it
