lol at being in your “prime” after like 100 combined fights between kick boxing and MMA.

Alex is right now about the same age that Mirko was when he lost back to back to back to Mir, Nelson, and Schuab, via getting outstruck on the feet. Mirko wasn’t old when he was KOd by Gonzaga. He was in his early 30s. He was outstruck by Fedor, and crushed by Randleman, when he was about 31 and 30, respectively.

Poatan’s record is way cleaner. He hasn’t been outstruck in MMA other than Isreal, who is elite and who Poatan has split his two matches with.

That said, I don’t mind calling you in 2030. PM me your number.

Poatan has the better standup striking MMA record, and Cro Cop has a range of excuses.

Both are great, there is no need to diminish one’s achievements to raise up the other’s.

I will say, some of you arent giving Cro Cop enough credit. The ppl he fought in K-1 were some of the greatest strikers to ever live. He had a whole career there before MMA. There is a lot of context that is being overlooked.

Its a close fight. Cro Cop has the advantage in a ring and Poatan in a cage, but it could go either way.

Again, two of my favorites so there is no bias here.

This is just a silly take.

How would Alex do vs Cro Cop’s opponents?

Most of the fights you mention are Cro Cop on the back side of his career.

Jordan wasn’t as good on the Wizards either.

Cro Cop was a true HW. Pereira fought at MW. The answer to this question all depends on which versions of them are fighting and where

Prime Cro Cop wins in Pride, 9/10x

Prime Pereira v. Prime Cro Cop in the ufc is a 50/50 coin flip

Now. This current version of Pereira against the Cro Cop we saw in the UFC, Pereira wins 10/10x

Roundtree was landing on Poatan in the 1st and 2nd rounds. If that were Randleman Poatan too would be sleeping

I think he’d do really well. I don’t think he’d tap out verbally to Junior Dos Santos while he was standing on his feet and had his wits about him.

Jordan was still the best player in the league at an age where Cro Cop was piling up losses. Cro Cop was outstruck by Randleman and Fedor at about 30 and 31 years old. He lost, due to standup striking, to Mir, Schaub, and Roy Nelson at about 35 years old. Jordan was still winning championships and MVPs. Poatan was still very much at the top of his game at that age.

Wizards Jordan was 39 and 40 years old.

I swing from the nuts of alex hard…

But im not full retard

I think Poatan has a better chin than Cro Cop. Whether Randleman lands that punch on Poatan at all, and whether it knocks Poatan out if it did land, is pure speculation. Poatan has only lost an MMA fight due to strikes to Israel, who is a very elite striker. Cro Cop lost due to standup striking or was outstruck standing many times in MMA.

Who has he fought that was as blacksplosive as randleman?

I have…no rebuttal lol.

To be fair, Poatan was fast-tracked to the title and has had favorable match-ups his entire time in the UFC.

Pretty much all the guys that you listed that gave Crocop trouble were guys that could either take him down or had excellent ground games or both.

The most versatile guy Alex has faced thus far is a 40 year old Jan Blachowicz.

I’d say Schaub is definitely the anomaly on his string of losses. Someone he really should have beaten.

JDS beat Crocop at the start of his world-beater run.

There’s really no need to talk about MMA regarding this fight, imo, b/c it’ll be a kickboxing match no matter what the rule-set is.

That’s like saying Lennox was in his prime against Kilitchko. He was just coming off a a nearly perfect performance against Tyson. But fighters peak at different times. Cro Cop really wanted to win a GP. Lennox really wanted to topple Tyson.

It’s not Cro Cop’s fault he kept getting knocked out, those guys kept punching and kicking him in the head.

No way, I’ve joined the Borg.
