UFC lightweight star Arman Tsarukyan became the latest current or former UFC fighter to run into issues with an airline.
Arman Tsarukyan continues to wait for a UFC lightweight title shot against the winner of Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje after the upcoming White House card. Tsarukyan hasnât fought since finishing Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar last year and has won five-straight fights overall.
In the meantime, Tsarukyan continues to keep busy away from Mixed Martial Arts, competing in multiple Real American Freestyle wrestling matches against Georgio Poullas and Lance Palmer. He also defeated former UFC flyweight standout Muhammad Mokaev in a submission grappling match last month.
Tsarukyan will return to RAF this Saturday against UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber as he looks to remain undefeated on the mats. On the way to the event, Tsarukyan ran into some trouble on an American Airlines flight.

Tsarukyan, who is expected to be in Newark next month for Khamzat Chimaevâs fight against Sean Strickland at UFC 328, was kicked off an American Airlines flight with several team members en route to RAF 08 in Philadelphia.
Russian MMA journalist Adam Zubayraev detailed what happened that led to Tsarukyanâs removal.
âSimply because someone on the team was using their phone, while the plane was taking off,â Zubayraev said of Tsarukyan.
âAnd the second person opened a table. It was because of this, that Arman and his two friends were kicked off the plane on the way to the RAF [event].â
As of this writing, itâs uncertain if Tsarukyanâs status for RAF 08 is in jeopardy, and American Airlines hasnât provided a comment on the incident.
Tsarukyan isnât the only former or current UFC star to run into issues while flying on a commercial airliner. UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov was kicked off a Frontier Airlines flight after a dispute over his sitting in an exit row last year.
