The UFC is finally heading back to Montreal.
On Friday, the world’s leading MMA promotion announced it will return to Montreal for the first time in a decade with UFC 315, which takes place on May 10 at the Bell Center.
The promotion has been to Montreal on seven previous occasions, each with a pay-per-view event, and was a near-yearly stop for the UFC until 2015. This will be the promotion’s first visit to Montreal since April of that year with UFC 186. That card was headlined by a flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi. Johnson won the bout by literal last-second armbar, notching his sixth successful title defense. In the co-main event, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson won a unanimous decision victory over Fabio Maldonado.
As of now there are no bouts set for UFC 315 nor any rumored matchups, but that will certainly change in the coming months.
A McKenzie Dern main event and a couple of those type 2 diabetic HW’s that aren’t serious contenders as a co main.
I fought in Montreal once.
The place was FILTHY
Garbages stacked up EVERYWHERE garbage
I was disgusted at the Frenches.
Went the distance in an unsanctioned bout. Against the 2-0 local bar owner/bartender.
Everyone was there for him.
It was wild.
The only time I ever got on a plane was too fight someone…maybe next time it’ll be a vacation?
Muhammad teases big return
With one shifty eyes emoji, Belal Muhammad has heavily implied that he’ll be heading to Montreal on May 10 for UFC 315. Of course, this is all speculation, but it’s a timeline that would certainly make sense for him post-Ramadan. Hopefully, we get some kind of clarity on this sooner rather than later.
For now, Belal will continue to enjoy his time as a real champion of the people.
Imagine a Belal Muhammad main event, with two WMMA bouts on the main card. Yeah!
Please don’t make this a complete dog shit card like literally every fucking non US PPV is.
This is a VERY LIKELY scenario
Aussies just had a very bad one. And Edmonton recently. Maybe invite some Sheiks over to get a great card?
The Saudis do put on some banger cards, especially when it comes to boxing which was desperately needed. Don’t give a fuck where there money comes from if they are putting on great fights.
Man I hope they make this card good. Traditionally the Canadian cards have always been hot garbage for whatever reason. Please deliver this time UFC
