Bella Mir, daughter of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion Frank Mir and an NCAA wrestling champion, will have a chance to win a UFC contract on season 10 of Contender Series.
Mir is reportedly set to collide with Alex Apodaca during Week 3, which takes place Tues., Aug. 25, 2026, inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mir (4-0) has been primed to become a future UFC fighter for years. Back in 2023, UFC signed her as the promotion’s first NIL ambassador while she was competing in college wrestling.
While Mir remains undefeated in MMA, with three first-round submissions (watch highlights), she has also kept busy competing in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. More importantly, she capped off her phenomenal college wrestling career by capturing the NCAA national title at 145 pounds (watch highlights).
And if she wins a UFC contract, Mir has massive aspirations.
The 22-year-old has previously said she hopes to become the first active UFC fighter to compete in the Olympics at the same time, with the 2028 Summer Olympics touching down in Los Angeles, Calif.
Safe to say, she is not thinking small.
As for Apodaca (3-1), she is riding a three-fight win streak and is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Devon McDonald at Fury FC 122 on July 24.
While Apodaca does not have a finish on her professional record, she could play spoiler in a gigantic way by knocking off one of the most hyped female prospects in recent memory.
Season 10 of Contender Series kicks off next Tuesday (Aug. 11) exclusively on Paramount+.
