Matchroom Boxing head cheese Eddie Hearn and UFC CEO Dana White have both agreed to settle their differences inside the squared circle, which has about as much chance of happening as the Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg social media showdown at Meta Apex.
Luckily for White.
The taller, younger Hearn opened as the -300 betting favorite against +200 for White, according to BetOnline.ag. The beef started when White and his cronies launched Zuffa Boxing with the backing of Turki Al-Sheikh, then poached Conor Benn from Matchroom Boxing.
Hearn responded by signing Tom Aspinall to a Matchroom talent contract.
This is not the first time White has been attached to a boxing match and probably won’t be the last, though I’d rather see him try PowerSlap than the “sweet science” — where a BILLION people will see it. All jokes aside, the White vs. Hearn rivalry may benefit the fighters as each side tries to outbid the other.
