His Jab is nasty and he can hurt you with a half power one.
This. Dude was just standing and throwing. Flat footed. I saw nothing that says he’ll be great in that clip. But, heavyweight is weak so he’ll prob make it.
Raw prospect. Needs lots of work but he has a lot of stuff to work with. Shows a good jab and stays on the outside like a big man should.
LOL, you guys are going on about this Martin Bakole guy, tell me more about this Michael Hunter guy that apparently beat this shit out of him before he knocked him out LOL.
Hunter I think was a US Olympian, I know he had a decorated amateur career. His dad was the heavyweight version of Emanuel Augustus… The vid is of Sr
Yeah, that bum, total can!
I think Julius Cesar was an epileptic, not sure about Augustus (aka Octavius aka Krazy 8)
I digress. Good video on the Augustus HW.
He was a pretty good (presumably still is? havent seen him in ages) fighter, quite underrated. Gave a decent account of himself against Usyk. Might have made some noise if he had been given more big fights to build his profile.
Anyway Hunter/Bakole was ages ago, I dont think it should be held against Bakole too much. Most signs point towards him being a very dangerous HW in 2025.
Though to judge though since he wasn’t getting meaningful return fire.
From the clip, he could be a solid prospect. Not battle tested yet though, too soon to say definitely
Future world champ.
Julius Seizure
He has Michael Grant written all over him. So much hype and then when tested cracked.
Props for the Michael Grant reference. Did you know Grant was originally managed by Gladys "wife of Richard " Steele ?
No kidding?
Yep, she also managed David Sample who fought Miguel Angel Gonzales for a world title and a few others. Gladys was beautiful in her day, her and Richard (a one time California light heavyweight champ before he became a ref) were really good people
Prospect?!! Bakole is rated no. 2 in the world rankings & is fighting Efe Ajagba for the vacant IBF heavyweight title in a month or two. He’s one of the best most dangerous contenders in the division.
As for his loss to Michael Hunter, Hunter is also a top contender now & is very slick & quick. From what I recall it was a fairly close fight until Bakole blew out his shoulder & had to retire in his corner.
I forgot about Efe Ajagba. He had one loss against a tough opponent and it seems no one talks about him anymore. His last fight was against another good fighter, Guido Vianello, whom he beat by split decision. Vianello was another guy they were pushing to be the next big thing until he got caught in one fight.
Yep, Ajagba isn’t too bad. He’s better than he showed in his loss to Frank Sanchez. I don’t think he’s going to have much to offer Bakole though. He’s too straight up & down & easy to hit. I believe Bakole will finish him somewhere around round 6.
