WrestleMania 42 Night Two has opened with a huge shock, as it appears Brock Lesnar has retired from the WWE!
Lesnar opened night two of the event facing off against the âNigerian Giantâ Oba Femi in a highly anticipated match, with both powerhouses creating a build that not many other matches on this weekendâs card could hold up to.
Femi dominated Lesnar quickly, ending the match in less than 5 minutes after throwing Lesnar around as if he wasnât 6â3â and 286 pounds. But itâs what happened after the match ended that shocked fans inside of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Lesnar sat in the center of the ring, clearly emotional, and slowly removed his gloves and boots, leaving them in the center of the mat, a symbol used by many wrestlers to symbolize their last match. Lesnar then hugged his longtime Manager Paul Heyman, both breaking down in tears, creating an emotional WrestleMania moment.
Many assumed Lesnarâs time in the ring was coming to an end, but most people speculated it would take place in Lesnarâs hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, at this yearâs SummerSlam. Which leaves some speculating this could all be for show to launch a retirement storyline with the career killer Gunther at the summer showcase.
Brock debuted in the WWE in 2002 and went on to win the WWE Championship from The Rock less than 6 months later, becoming the youngest WWE Champion in history at the time at just 25 years old. Lesnar is a ten time WWE World Champion, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, and an NCAA Division I Heavyweight Wrestling Champion.
I remember the first time I saw Brock in the WWE. He randomly jumped through the crowd and into the ring and spear doubled some motherfuckers. He was jacked and I was impressed.
Then I realized he was the guy who had just won the NCAA wrestling tournament. He was a freak.
Brock was the closest thing to Andre the Giant in modern wrestling. The spectacle of seeing a guy his size move the way he does doesnât require intricate knowledge of any story lines to be interesting in person.
He came back for one last hurrah and pushed his body to its absolute juiced threshold to get his bag after those pathetic losers tried to cancel him. Went out on top, still alive, and heâll spend his remaining days buying every last damn acre of farm land in Saskatchewan so he can keep the hunt alive.
Brock is just a winner at life, so much so that even all his kids are winners because he wouldnât let them sum bitches become losers even his deformed daughter. Turning chicken shit into chicken salad.
Absolutely, before the end of the year. I hope Brock treats him like he did Hunt.
$20 million from MVP will get Brock back in the cage. Theyâll pay him at least double what Ronda is getting. Theyâll pay him what they paid Mike Tyson
Forever one of my all time favorite athletes of all time
As a kid I watched him in WWE. Then when I heard he was a Minnesota Viking I was trying to watch Viking preseason games on TV. Then watched his entire ufc run and I started watching WWE again when he went back there
Good for him. Heâs going to start placing a lot of stress on his heart attack his age with so much gear and weight. Heâs done a lot, had an amazing career, he should prioritize his health.
