Any Canadian fight fan who boos the U.S. national anthem will have to answer to Charles Radtke.
Radtke battles hometown hero Mike Malott as part of the UFC 315 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sat. night (May 10, 2025) inside Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. âChuck Buffaloâ doesnât want a repeat of the NHLâs â4 Nations Face-Offâ earlier this year when local fans drowned out The Star-Spangled Banner.
âI donât give a sh*t about hockey,â Radtke told reporters during the UFC 315 media day. âThatâs not my gig. But what I do hold dear is I grew up on a bison ranch with my grandfather, whoâs a Sergeant Major in the Marine Corps, and when you all booed the national anthem, somebodyâs going to have to pay for that. Somebody had said, âOh, well you booed them the week after.â Doesnât make it right. So inevitably, I take that to heart because every year I would change 50 flags going up our driveway, so youâre going to see the results of it.â
Radtkeâs message to anti-American fight fans? âBasically, f*ck you.â
The 34 year-old welterweight is looking to win his second straight after stopping Matthew Semelsberger at UFC Vegas 100 late last year. As for Malott, heâs also looking to remain in the win column following his decision victory over Trevin Giles at UFC Edmonton in late 2024.
bwahahaha better watch out bro
I didnât want to boo the anthemâŚbut now i do.
Event is in Quebec, not Canada.
Trump has united Canada.
no he hasnt
I donât recall ever hearing an anthem. Is it something the donât televise?
Iâve been to dozens of fights and I donât recall it either, unless they do it waaaay before the show starts.
According to Grok they donât. Sounds like the UFC marketing team is creating some scuttlebutt and selling wolf tickets
Iâm sure the fans down in Florida would love hearing the Russian national anthem after a LW title match.
Iâve been to two UFC events and got there way early to see every fight. I donât rexall the National Anthem ever being played. Boxing usually will play each opponentâs anthem prior to the main event.
The UFC seems like the type of organization that wouldnât want to waste valuable PPV time on something like that.
Have you missed the Alberta referendum to leave Canada?
He united the boomers, thatâs for sure.
