Carano Suggests ‘Hurt’ Sean Strickland Being ‘Exploited’ for UFC Circus

Gina Carano doesn’t pay attention to the ranting and raving of UFC middleweight Sean Strickland, the crybaby lost boy who somehow convinced himself he’s the savior of bro culture.

“Tarzan” took a big, steaming dump on Carano’s upcoming showdown against former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, but “Conviction” believes his comments are coming from a place of hurt and that he’s being exploited for his ability to generate headlines.

For better or worse.

“I think he’s got it a little bit twisted,” Carano said during a recent media scrum. “I don’t really pay attention to him or his words. I think they’re sadly coming from a hurt place and hurt people hurt people. I think that he’s being exploited a bit and that pain is on full display and you know, all you can really do is just pray for healing for that man.”

UFC CEO Dana White typically shields his fighters under the shelter of free speech, unless you make rape jokes, attack trans athletes, or suggest another combatant is gay. The promotion used to have an employee code of conduct but it doesn’t seem to be enforced much these days.

“I think that we should build up men to be men,” Carano added. “But don’t you want some viking-ass women in your country? I am going to defend my house, I am going to defend my kids, I am going to defend myself at the gas station if I need to. You want your nieces and your daughter … Sean Strickland would want, too. You want to be a woman and be able to defend yourself.”

Whether or not she can defend herself against Rousey on May 16 in Los Angeles remains to be seen.

Can’t stand the trend of adding -ass as a suffix to every noun for extra emphasis.

I hate when they use “ahh” instead. It’s definitely more ghetto that way

“I actually started my health journey in September 2024. Fighting was something I gave up, actually, like five years prior. I was like, ‘OK, this is not something I’m ever gonna do,'” Carano told reporters after the first press conference to promote their Netflix-streamed May 16 showdown at Intuit Dome. “But as it’s gone on progressively, I realized – it’s not that I needed it. It’s that I love it, and I want it, and that’s what gets me out of bed. There was other opportunities that came up after I settled my lawsuit with Disney, and I had to weigh those.

“What was more important? And I just realized waking up to have this fight was more important than (another) opportunity. Once I started weighing those things, I realized how badly I wanted it. I think that I wouldn’t be pushing myself so hard unless I had this. And I’m pushing myself. This is not an easy deal. I’ve come a long ways. But to push yourself so deep and so hard is such a blessing.”

“I find that it’s smarter – smarter training,” Carano said. “Because we used to go into the gym and just beat the living hell out of each other. Now it’s smarter, there’s recovery, it’s just a smarter sport now than when I came up and we just destroyed ourselves. … It’s just a different sport. It’s a more professional sport.”

Lol. Stuff we’d say as kids trying to sound cool in the 80s. “This is some good ass pizza!”

Funny to hear her use it. Dumb 80s kid speak is back with adults. I catch myself saying “man’ once in a while. Meet some big shot in a professional setting, hey good to meet you MAN! Better than bruh I guess.

This seems like her holdover language from the 80’s/90’s, no?

Other than the fags who say “dead ass” all the time, this isn’t a modern trend is it? I thought the use of adjective-ass was from my generation?

Big ass, raggedy ass, retarded ass, etc. It is lame, but I would assume from a lady in her 40’s it would be the parlance of her yute.

Yep. Broke-ass, bitch-ass, lazy-ass, punk-ass, ratchet-ass, weak-ass, etc. Adding “ass” has been around a long time. Not the “dead ass” the new gen goofs like to say.

What a hilariously bitchy comment to end the article on lol
